A Note on BlueUni ~
BlueUni began with a simple belief: women shouldn't have to choose between beautiful swimwear and swimwear they can truly live in.
After decades spent wearing, studying, and designing swimwear, I set out to create the bikinis I had always been searching for. Every silhouette is thoughtfully designed in Southern California to stay put, flatter naturally, and move comfortably through every moment of the day.
Produced in intentionally small batches using premium materials, high-recovery elastics, and refined construction, each piece is made to be worn season after season rather than replaced. That same philosophy extends to our packaging, using 100% recycled poly mailers, recycled paper hang tags, and biodegradable garment bags.
BlueUni is for women who expect more from their swimwear: timeless design, lasting quality, and pieces made to move beautifully with you through seasons of sun, saltwater, and adventure.
Behind the Names ~
Blue speaks to the ocean - vast, mysterious and transportive.
Uni, meaning sea urchin in Japanese, honors a creature both delicate and armored, sculptural and deeply of the sea. The name also carries a personal childhood memory of sushi bars with my Dad, where the word first became tied to curiosity, ritual and something shared.
Every BlueUni name begins somewhere real - a hidden cove, an island escape, or a moment beneath the surface.
Each name is a memento from the water, a way of carrying those places with us and passing a little of that feeling on to you.
